Harmonising our Head and our Heart

by

As humanity evolves, there has been greater awareness of the value of “softer” skills, such as care, kindness and compassion. Who wants a leader that may have amazing knowledge, but a vibe so repulsive, you’ll never want to listen to what they have to say?

When great knowledge combines with great care, you’ve hit the mark. You haven’t just made a point, you’ve made someone feel cared about. This is very powerful!

So, how can we connect the best of our thinking with the best of our feelings?  We must connect our head and our heart.

In the mind-body connection, you have both the brain and the mind. While these are two specific parts of our psychology, they are intrinsically linked.

The brain (head) is associated with the linear physical realm and is synonymous with knowledge, memorisation, analysis, opinions, comparison and conception. Think of your brain like an organic computer, full of algorithms based on previous programming. It is where you think. The mind, I.e., spirit (heart), is associated with the abstract, non-linear realm and synonymous with emotion, consciousness, innate knowing, intuition and perception. It is where you feel. Without consciousness, associated with our spirit, there is no life. There is no moving the body without a mind/spirit to direct it. The two unique parts of us work wonderfully together, but often there is a disconnect between the two, leaving us feeling disconnected.

As human beings, we have both a doing and a being nature. We have a head (thinking) and a heart (feeling). The idea here is to connect them consciously, so there is a purity to what you’re doing and how you’re being. They are connected, because you are. You have wisdom (from mind) directing knowledge (from brain). In other words, an important message is delivered with a feeling of heartfelt care.

How can we develop this? The basic principles of the Kelee® clearly distinguish the difference between the brain and the mind, amongst other basics, and Kelee Meditation gives you a way to consciously connect to your heart. When the brain and mind flow together from a conscious awareness, you are in the flow state or zone.

Want to feel that connection? Want to live from your highest potential more often and with more meaning? Don’t separate the mind and the body; understand them, train them. Understanding and exploring Kelee® Meditation can show you how.
