How to Get to Punta Conejo Resort:
Air travel options to Huatulco (HUX), Mexico
From Australia take a direct flight to Dallas and connect down on American airlines – stay overnight in the Grand Hyatt in the terminal located right above the gate. Fly from Dallas to HUX, Mexico
From the U.S. Northern California, it would probably work to either fly to Dallas or Lax to connect. If flying from San Diego you can fly out of there or use the CBX bridge to get on a flight through Tijuana which is what Taylor Knox will be doing. A passport is not needed, only an id. Immigration/Customs are cleared on the bridge. https://www.crossborderxpress.com
From the U.S. West Coast: LAX to HUX – Aeromexico, Interjet & Volaris (Note: As of 2018, Interjet has the least expensive surfboard baggage fee of $25 per bag.)
Note: Red eye or early AM with the one layover in Mexico City is suggested.
Note: You must clear your luggage and drop again
If you have surfboards, you must rebook upstairs at the Aeromexico Counter.
GET A PORTER TO ASSIST
From the U.S. East Coast: United, as they go through Houston and have a direct flight from Houston to HUX or if Aeromexico travels to your local international Airport, you may want to compare on times going through Mexico City Airport.
Note: As of 2017 Aeromexico board fees were $150 each way, Interjet $30 each way, Volaris $30 each way. Please check with the airline for weight & length restrictions. Also note: Volaris is now flying direct from Tijuana Airport to HUX (Huatulco) Sundays & Thursdays each week. We suggest using the CBX bridge from San Diego.
